Sunday, February 20, 1972 - Page 51
LOCATION: Newport Beach, California

Finished writing most of Moira-Quest. One more day should complete it -- then I'll rewrite the whole thing, delete about a thousand words, and try to sell it. Got to sleep at about 9:00 A.M. Woke up at 5:00 or 6:00. It was foggy last night -- so foggy they had to close down LA International. Dad went to work today like he did yesterday and worked overtime. Mike & Laramée Sarason came over at about noon, but, of course, I was asleep. I went shopping between 6:00 and 7:00 to refill the cupboards. I bought an S.F. anthology, paper clips, typewriting paper, tape, and a Mad Mag. It was fairly foggy tonight too.
Nixon arrived in Peking today, as seen live via satellite. Capitalistic aggressor comes to deal with Righteous Nationalistic Leaders. East and West is truly alien -- the twains will never meet without twangs. Ah so. "Ben Hur" followed, and with it came Chunk. It ended, and with it, Chunk left; after devouring a T.V. dinner and several boom booms.
Mom's back's better, Tacosumi's eye's alright, and I am the constantly healthy super-person I always am. Moira-Quest will be finished before next week (you see, Providence is such that we have an extended weekend due to Washington's Birthday, so next week doesn't officially begin until Tuesday -- I have not failed. Ta da!) TWADDLE FNORK!
