May 31 - Story notes: Nexus, Time Fall, Tempus Fugit

LOCATION: Newport Beach, California

(2:28:28 AM 6/1/1972)
I got to sleep at about 5:00 A.M., and woke up at 1:00 P.M. It was a warm sunny day for a few hours, so I tanned my hide on the veranda for about an hour and a half. I am now on page 126 in "The Other," and on 132 in "Man'sRiseToCivilizationAsShownByTheIndiansOfNorthAmericaFromPrimevalTimesToTheComingOfTheIndustrialState."

I did some more Chess analysis for the Sennet/Jarlath tournaments in Nexus. I discovered another facet of Nexus Streams yesterday, or the early morn of May 31, and I came up with more plot structure to "Time Fall." The former is the Bourn -- a pure, original nexus which is the goal, limit and nemesis of time travel (too complex to go into at greater detail here) and it will probably be a major ingredient in the last episode of the "Tempus Fugit" series. The "Time Fall" additions include a form of writing used by the people of Beta Nexus: boustrophedon (look it up!) ...

[From Wikipedia 2013: Boustrophedon is a kind of bi-directional text, mostly seen in ancient manuscripts and other inscriptions. Every other line of writing is flipped or reversed, with reversed letters. Rather than going left-to-right as in modern English, or right-to-left as in Arabic and Hebrew, alternate lines in boustrophedon must be read in opposite directions.]

... which allows more flexible, abstract, free flowing thought that is more conducive to comprehension of temporal theory -- therefore, Norman molds a foundation in Beta Nexus (led subconsciously by Alex) which pools the greatest minds of Beta to deal with the problem of the Temporal Vortex. So he transports them to the Alpha/Beta node to solve the Vortex anomaly. The idea comes to naught though when the gathering attempts to assist the Vortex in its effort to create Beta history, and destroy Alpha completely.

I went to sleep today at 8:30, got up at 12:30 and am now going to read "Man's Rise to Civilization, Etc." 'tis now 2:50:25 A.M. FINIS
