Then mom came up real excited advancing a more plausible theory. "Is that my horn?" So I pulled on my blue gym shorts and ran outside -- Mom gave me the car keys as I passed. The door on the driver's side wouldn't unlock so I ran over to the passenger side and fortunately it came open. It was very cold outside, and most of the lights were on in other trailers -- the horn must've been going for 5 minutes before I got to it. I pulled the hood release and it stopped -- I don't know why it did, but I was satisfied. I closed the car & the hood and went back to sleep. The car did the same thing with Matt & I in S.D. [South Dakota] almost a year ago -- that time I stopped it by guessing the right wires and pulling them. It must happen when water gets in the wires & closes the circuit.

I am now going to go to sleep. Good night. ---
9:30 AM
I finally got to sleep around 2:00 after my nose got mysteriously bloody. Copious amounts of red were coming from my left nostril and it took some time to stop it. At 4:45 I was awakened by a loud piercing noise. At first I thought it was an air raid siren so I figured we were under attack. Hanoi was sposed to sign the Viet Nam peace agreement yesterday but they never got around to it, so I figured, Oops, they blew it. Now there's a real war going on. I didn't have the radio to listen to the Emergency Broadcast System so I just sat there, amused.
